Starfield Companions and Crew Members How to Get Skills Requirements

In Starfield, companions and crew members are characters who join your team and accompany you on your journey throughout the game. Starfield crew members can assist you in various ways, such as providing support in combat, offering specialized skills, and contributing to managing your ship and outposts. Each crew member comes with their own skills and abilities, making them valuable assets to your adventures.

Starfield crew members can be divided into companions and nameless crew members.

  1. Starfield Companions: Companions are unique characters with distinct personalities, backstories, and abilities. Sarah Morgan, Andreja, Sam Coe, and Barrett are your four Constellation companions in Starfield. They all have their own quests and dialogue options and can even form romantic relationships with the player character. Companions play a more significant role in the game’s narrative and can provide valuable insights into the game’s world and story.
  2. Named Starfield Crew Members: Most of these can be typically recruited at Starfield’s bars or as part of certain missions. They come with minor backstories and no quests, and they are not romanceable, but they typically offer better skills than the randomly generated names of crew members.
  3. Nameless Starfield Crew Members: NPCs offer higher skill levels for specialized tasks. They are often found in bars or other locations and can be hired to assist you with tasks related to ship management, outpost construction, combat, and other activities. While they lack the depth of companions in terms of personal stories, they are still valuable additions to your crew due to their skill sets.

Crew members can be recruited by interacting with them in specific locations, completing missions, or meeting certain requirements. They contribute to the overall experience by enhancing your abilities, providing companionship, and adding depth to the game’s world and lore.
