Starfield offers a plethora of ship component manufacturers, producing different parts of starship pieces. Each manufacturer specializes in different areas of a ship (Weapons, Shield Generators, Engines, Reactors, Fuel Tanks, etc.). In this guide, we will list every single manufacturer in the game and which types of ship components they produce.
Which Starfield Manufacturers Assemble Entire Ships
The only manufacturers that can assemble entire ships are the ones that manufacture Cockpits, Dockers, Structural Components, Landing Bays, and Landing Gears. In other words, only the ones that can build ship mainframes. These manufacturers also have staryards or showrooms around the settled systems (although it would also make sense for the rest to have exhibition rooms).
Here is the list of manufacturers that can build entire ships:
- Deimos
- HopeTech
- Nova Galactic
- Stroud-Eklund
- Taiyo Astroneering
No manufacturer produces every single ship component. Consequently, you can’t build a ship with Deimos, Stroud-Eklund, HopeTech, Nova Galactic, or Taiyo Astroneering parts.
All Starfield Manufacturers: Which Ship Components They Produce
Note: Scan Jammers are piracy equipment and probably illegal. No ship manufacturer produces them, instead they come with a Crimson Fleet flag.
Starfield features 20 ship component manufacturers, each one specializing in a variety of different ship components. Even among manufacturers who produce the same components, e.g., weapons, you may find different subcategories in which each manufacturer specializes, with quite different specifications.
- Amun Dunn: Reactor and Engine manufacturer.
- Ballistic Solutions Inc: Manufactures Fuel Tanks and Ballistic Weapons, which focus on damaging the hull.

Where to Buy Ship Components?
These are all the options to look for Ship Components for your ship:
- Ship Services Technicians
- Vendors at Staryards
- Vendors in Showrooms
- Your outpost’s Landing Pad with Shipbuilder
You will not find one vendor that offers every single part, but from what I’ve seen, your outpost’s Landing Pad with Shipbuilder offers the largest variety of ship components. This includes Habs, Dockers, Landing Gear, Landing Bays, Cockpits, and Structural Components from all four manufacturers that produce them.
If you are looking for a ship with a specific manufacturer’s theme, your best option is to visit their staryard or showroom (Deimos, Stroud-Eklund, HopeTech, and Taiyo Astroneering). Nova Galactic’s staryard is not operational.
