Where to find every Ship Services Technician in Starfield. All locations!

Where to Find Ship Services Technicians All Locations in Starfield

In this guide, you will find the locations of Ship Services Technicians in Starfield. I have excluded Staryards and Showrooms from this list, as their salesmen offer slightly different services (a subset of the ones SSTs do).

At a Ship Services Technician in Starfield, you can perform the following tasks through the dialogue options and vendor menus:

There seems to be a connection between each SST’s location and the structural, hab, bay, cockpit, and docker components they sell, as they seem to promote the local sellers. For instance, you will mostly find Deimos and Nova Galactic parts in the Sol System. I don’t think the same logic applies to reactors, fuel tanks, cargo holds, engines, and weapons, but I may be wrong.

Note: I will add more ships and more detailed component information as I get close to high-level content. Otherwise the list will get really long and hard to follow.

There is one more Ship Services Technician, unlocked once you complete The Devils You Know mission for the UC Vanguard. He is located at the Red Devil’s HQ on Mars, near Cydonia (I’ll add him to the list soon).

Typically, Ship Services Technicians are located near spaceports or launching pads in cities. They are typically close to the space station’s entrance when in space.

    • Shieldbreaker: 265,443 Credits

The first thing you will see once you first land at New Atlantis’ spaceport is the Ship Services Technician. He will be at the ramp you use to exit the launching pad. After that, you will find him to the right of the ramp next to the Trade Authority Kiosk. The grey and yellow uniform and notepad make him hard to miss. You will mostly find Deimos and Nova Galactic structural components, habs, cockpits, dockers, and bays. This technician also has a great variety of weapons.

Gagarin’s Ship Services Technician wears the same grey and yellow uniform as the one in New Atlantis (as they are both in Alpha Centauri, I guess). Similarly to his New Atlantis counterpart, he is next to a Trade Authority Kiosk on the right side of the ramp outside Gagarin’s launchpad. You will mostly find Deimos and Nova Galactic ship components here and a bit of Stroud Eklund.

The Ship Services Technician in Cydonia can be found at the city’s spaceport, close to the landing pad. Head to the airlock entrance to Cydonia once you land. From there, head southwest down the ramp. After a few meters, you will see another ramp on your front right with the Ship Services Technician at the top, in front of a cabin. You will recognize him from the grey and green spacesuit and the notepad he holds. This vendor’s variety is also mostly limited to Nova Galactic and Deimos parts.

You will find HopeTech, Nova Galactic, and Stroud-Eklund components here, along with Vanguard, Ballistic Solutions, and Light Scythe weapons, making him one of the most versatile vendors for ship components.

Lon Anderssen, Red Mile’s Ship Services Technician, is perfectly situated inside the first office as you enter the Red Mile casino from the airlock. You will see the Ship Services sign on the office’s side wall, while Lon can be found at this desk.

Lon Anderssen is the most notable Ship Services Technician in Starfield, as he is the only vendor that can sell you Smuggling Ship Components (Shielded Cargo Holds and Scan Jammers) outside The Key and the Crimson Fleet faction. Lon is your gateway to smuggling contraband if you haven’t joined the pirate faction yet. He also offers many Stroud-Eklund, HopeTech, Taiyo components (Habs, Bays, Dockers, Cockpits, Structural) and Shinigami, Light Scythe, and Horizon Defense Weapons.

The Eleos Retreat Ship Services Technician

    • Caravan: 188,707 Credits
    • Slipstream: 166,383 Credits
    • Wanderlust: 156,845 Credits

You will find The Eleos Retreat Ship Services Technician inside a cabin just outside the entrance to the launching pad on your front right. There is a “Ship Services” sign above the door and a satellite radar atop the cabin, so it’s pretty easy to spot. He can sell you Vanguard, Ballistic Solutions & Light Scythe Weapons and HopeTech, Nova Galactic, and Stoud-Eklund components.

The Den Ship Services Technician

You will find The Den’s Ship Services Technician a few meters before you when you dock with The Den and board it. He is surrounded by containers, and there is a “Ship Services” sign right behind him. This vendor does not sell any ships at Level 24, so maybe his stock contains ones unlocked at a higher level, or he doesn’t have any ship stock.

  • Location: The Den Space Station, Chthonias orbit, Wolf System
  • Ships for Sale: None

The Key Ship Services Technician

  • Location: The Key Cargo Bay, Suvorovs orbit, Kryx System
  • Ships You Can Buy:
    • Crimson Fleet Reaper: 128,775 Credits
    • Crimson Fleet Ghost II: 92,700 Credits
    • Crimson Fleet Haunt: 72,350 Credits
    • Crimson Fleet Phantom: 70,225 Credits
    • Crimson Fleet Specter: 133,575 Credits
    • Crimson Fleet Banshee: 224,305 Credits

Jasmine Durant (aka Jazz) is the Crimson Fleet’s Ship Services Technician. You will find her at The Key after you complete the Deep Cover and Rook Meets King quest to join the Crimson Fleet and become friendly with Crimson Fleet NPCs (technically, you will be friendly with them before you complete the second faction mission).

Now, Jazz is a pretty great Ship Services Technician and a very unique one. Not only does she sell Shielded Cargo Holds and Scan Jammers (like Lon at the Red Mile), but her complete list of ships for sale are Crimson Fleet ones, and most of them come with Shielded Cargo Holds. If aesthetics matter the most to you and you are looking for a badass pirate ship, look no further!
