Out on a Limb is a side mission in Starfield, which becomes available once you complete A Tree Grows in New Atlantis. The quest giver is once again Kelton Frush, who wants you to recover some more research data from Emilion Hadek. You have three options to complete the quest:
- Pickpocket Emilio
- Persuade Emilio
- B & E in the Chief Engineer’s apartment and delete Emilio’s personnel files

- Rewards: 100 EXP and Credits based on your character level and difficulty level
Talk to Emilio Hadek
Emilio Hadek can be found close to the Lodge, around 80 meters from Kelton’s location. One easy way to complete the quest is to pickpocket Emilio’s Slate from him. Alternatively, you must perform an illegal deed for Emilio to get his research data. You must help Emilio secure a higher position in MAST by erasing some files to make him look good next time promotions get passed around. At this point, you will also get the option to use Persuasion on Emilio.
Delete Files from the Terminal
If you don’t, you must access the MAST Chief Engineer’s personal terminal in her apartment to erase the bad evaluations Emilio has received. The Chief Engineer’s apartment is close to Emilio at the Orion Tower in the Residential District. To access the apartment you must pick a Novice Security Level lock. Open the Personnel Files folder and select Hadek, Emilio – BioScience Division. You can view Emilio’s disciplinary issues, while you can also view Kelton’s personnel files. Pick the Purge All Files option to erase the files and complete the objective.
Talk to Emilio Hadek
Once you have purged the files, return to Emilio to receive his research data.
Deliver Data to Kelton Frush
Once you have secured Emilio’s research data, return to Kelton to complete the quest. You will receive 100 EXP and Credits based on your character level and the game’s difficulty level. Late Bloomer, the final part of Kelton’s questline will soon become available.
