New Homestead is a settlement on Titan, a moon of Saturn in Starfield’s Sol System. In New Homestead, you will find Brown Horse Tavern, where you won’t find any crew members to recruit, Chucnks, a Clinic, and Starsap Tours, where you can buy a really long and annoying tour of the settlement. You can complete several leisure quests and an investigation of brownouts similar to the ones in New Alantis’ Well. You will also find a Ship Services Technician, ready to sell ships and ship modules.
Where is New Homestead?
Navigating to New Homestead may seem complex, but it’s quite straightforward once you know the way. Here’s how you can get there:
- Open the Starfield Galaxy Map: Press the ‘M’ key to access the Starmap.
- Locate the Sol System: Zoom in for a closer look and find the Sol System. It’s located on the western edge of the map, right above Alpha Centauri and immediately following Procyons A and B.
- Select Saturn: In the Sol System, locate and select Saturn.
- Zoom into Titan: Get a closer view of Saturn’s moon, Titan.
- Find New Homestead: As you rotate Titan, look for the New Homestead settlement marker.
- Initiate Travel: Hold down the ‘X’ key to travel directly to the New Homestead settlement.
New Homestead Side-missions
New Homestead may not be the largest settlement in the game, but it packs a punch in terms of activities and points of interest. Let’s take a look at what awaits you. New Homestead is the starting point for two noteworthy quests: “Brownout,” similar to Tapping the Grid in New Atlantis, and “Tourists Go Home,” which will have you wear a monster costume. Both quests offer a rich narrative experience and provide an excellent opportunity for gaining rewards.

NPCs and Points of Interest
Close to the entrance at the lower level, you will find Chunks along with a Mission Board and Bounty Clearance Kiosk on the opposite side. The clinic run by Dr. Juliana Lakota is at the outpost’s higher level.
Past the main lobby, you will find Maurice Lyon, who will talk to you about New Homestead’s museum. Across from the museum, you will find Bill Starsap’s kiosk, where you can start the Starsap Tours quest (which is really lengthy).
I wouldn’t say New Homestead is the most interesting settlement in Starfield, but since there are not many of them, it’s definitely worth exploring and completing its side missions. You can also talk to Maura Munich and her daughter about life outside New Homestead and space exploration, which will annoy her husband, Nathaniel Manila.
