How to Buy a House in New Atlantis

Buying a house in New Atlantis would be lovely, right? However, it comes with one requirement. You must first become a UC Citizen before purchasing property in the United Colonies. The great news is that you can get two houses this way, the second being the best in Starfield and free. The bad news is that a long quest line awaits you.

How to Get a House in New Atlantis

To get a house in New Atlantis, you must join the UC Vanguard by completing the Supra et Ultra and Grunt Work quests. The time to get a UC Citizenship is 10 years. Still, if you excel at the exams (this requires beating Tier 6 in the piloting simulator, using the simulator debug tools, hacking them, and exploring the full Orientation hall), you will get this down to three years.

However, the process will be further sped up after Grunt Work, Delivering Devils, Eyewitness, and most importantly, the fifth UC Vanguard mission, Friends Like These. At the end of Friends Like These, Deputy MacIntyre will grant you your UC Citizenship. Now you can buy your first house in New Atlantis, the Well Apartment.

Once you become a UC citizen in Friends Like These, a new activity will show up in your mission log, “Speak to Zora at the Aphelion Realty Office.”

The Aphelion Realty Office is in New Atlantis’ MAST district. To find it, fast-travel to the MAST district, head up the ramp from the Tram Station and then head 90 meters northeast.

Once you reach the Aphelion Realty Office, head inside to find Zora Sangweni.

Talk to Zora; she will congratulate you on becoming a UC Citizen. She will initially give you only one option: to buy a small apartment in the Well. Pay 30,000 Credits, and the Well apartment is yours! You will then receive a new activity, “Visit your new home in The Well,” which will help you track your house down. Get to The Well, (if you are at the Aphelion Realty Office just head back to the Tram Station to take the elevator), follow the objective marker for the new activity, and you will find your new apartment!

It’s going to need some work to become more hospitable though…

How to Get the Mercury Tower Penthouse in New Atlantis

Now this is where things get even more interesting. After Friends Like These, you must complete the following UC Vanguard missions:

  • The Devils You Know
  • War Relics
  • Hostile Intelligence
  • A Legacy Forged (9th and last UC Vanguard main questline mission)

The events of these missions are unprecedented and will grant you First Class UC Citizenship (this is arguably the best questline in Starfield). Once you become a First-Class UC Citizen, find Zora once again, and you will get the Mercury Tower Penthouse (arguably the best house in Starfield).
