Where to Get Mako in Starfield & Ship Stats

Find out where you can get Mako, the smallest ship in Starfield, and all its stats.

Where to Get Mako the Smallest Ship in Starfield

While some Starfield players may be lured by the prospect of a gigantic, heavily-armed starship (that’s me), the game offers a compelling(?) alternative for those more inclined toward exploration. Enter Mako, the smallest available ship in Starfield, with various features that make it a standout choice for specific adventures. Basically, it looks like a submarine, so if you are a Subnautica fan, you will like it, I think.

Finding the Mako can be a bit of a treasure hunt, as only a single vendor in the game offers it. You can purchase this compact marvel at the Taiyo Astroneering showroom within the Ryujin Industries tower in Neon (Core). The price tag of 83,250 credits isn’t exorbitant, but you must stash away a reasonable sum to call this ship your own. This is excellent news for players who want a quality ship in their fleet but are not looking to splurge.

Note: I’d love to add Mako’s mobility in the specs table, so if anyone knows it, please leave a comment, as I’m not buying the ship anytime soon.

The Mako is a unique blend of agility and exploration capabilities. One of the standout features is its Gravitational (Grav.) The jump range of 24 lightyears is quite a lot for an early-game ship. This saves players time by taking optimal jump routes to unexplored star systems.

However, everything other stat is particularly on Mako. Not enough Energy Weapons power, not enough Ballistics Power, and the Cargo capacity is lower than your own inventory (if you have mastered Weight Lifting). I will buy this ship to see how much stronger I can make it. Without upgrading it, I don’t think you should use it as your main ship on Very Hard.

Here’s a quick look at the ship’s specifications:

Whether you’re looking to make long journeys across unfamiliar star systems, or want a dependable vessel that won’t crumble at the first sign of conflict, the Mako may well be your dream ship.
