Distilling Confidence is a side (misc) mission in Starfield that takes place in New Atlantis. Your objective will be to retrieve a package for Nyssa Marcano, Viewport’s bartender, from a storage warehouse at New Atlantis’ spaceport. UCSec impounded the package, but it’s held at the spaceport area, just behind your ship’s landing spot, due to the lack of space. The package contains an ingredient Nyssa needs to complete the Supernova drink. (Video Guide)

How to Start Distilling Confidence
To start Distilling Confidence, you must talk to Nyssa Marcano, the bartender at The Viewport in New Atlantis. Tracking the activity “Talk to the Bartender at Viewport ” will help you find her, but The Viewport is at the spaceport district in New Atlantis, to the left of the central plaza with the fountain (opposite side of the NAT station).
Access Secure Storage
Nyssa Marcano wants us to recover some cargo from off-world, which UCSec keeps at New Alantis’ spaceport. The cargo contains an ingredient she thinks she needs to make a new drink. For this objective, you must head back to the spaceport, behind your ship’s landing spot, and reach Storage A 03.
You will have three options here:
- Talk to Emin Macar outside Storage A 03 and persuade him to open it for you to retrieve the impounded package for Nyssa.
- Hack the Computer (Novice Security Level) on the right side of the gate to open it.
- Complete Sergeant Yumi’s quests to gain his trust and receive the UC Security Keycard.
- Acquire the UC Security Keycard from the locker room in UC Security Office.
- Pickpocket Sergeant Yumi at the UC Security Office for the UC Security Keycard.
Killing Emin Macar and looting his body does not work here, as there is no ID Card on it, so maybe the pickpocket route does not work either.
Taking the persuasion route will save you time, as you would have to sneak unnoticed to hide the Computer without being spotted. Still, that’s also easy to do.
The “I know you have to keep some people out. I admire someone who respects the rules” dialogue option led to a Critical Success for me in one of my tries, so it probably has a high chance of scoring a critical persuasion check. I’ll be honest here: at this point, I have no idea whether Critical Success has anything to do with the answer you pick or the number of correct persuasions before it (or both).
Retrieve Nyssa’s Package
Regardless of how you get access to the Storage, you will find a Cargo Container with Package for Nyssa and 5x Argon inside. Loot it, and it’s time to get back to Nyssa.
Speak to Nyssa Marcano
Return the package to Nyssa Marcano, and you will receive 75 EXP, Supernova & 3,300 Credits.
