How to Level Up Persuasion Fast in Starfield

If you are wondering whether there is a way to level up your Persuasion skill fast in Starfield, you have not come to the right place. You should head to a bar instead. In particular, any of the bars in Starfield’s main cities (by now, you have probably already figured it out).

You will find 2 to 6 potential companions/crew members at almost every Starfield bar. Some of them are named NPCs, while others are random. Typically, most of them can be persuaded to be hired for half the price (note that you don’t have to hire them afterward. You can perform this once per NPC, which should easily take you to Persuasion Rank 3.

While the named NPCs at each location remain the same, the nameless NPCs are random. For instance, I found three nameless NPCs to persuade the first time I visited The Viewport. The second time, I only found one. This probably refreshes whenever you fast-travel, and it may work similarly to the Starfield vendor reset trick.

The bars where you can find NPCs/potential crew members to persuade are:

  • The Viewport at New Atlantis (Jemison, Alpha Centauri).
  • The Hitching Post Akila City (Akila, Cheyenne)
  • Aggie’s in Akila City (Akila, Cheyenne)
  • Broken Spear in Cydonia (Mars, Sol).
  • Astral Lounge in Neon (Volii Alpha, Volii).
  • Euphorika in Neon’s Ebbside (Volii Alpha, Volii)
  • Madame Sauvage’s Place in Neon’s Ebbside (Volii Alpha, Volii)
  • The Red Mile casino area in Red Mile (Porrima III, Porrima)
  • The Last Nova bar at The Key (Suvorov’s orbit, Kryx)
  • Lizzy’s in Gagarin’s Landing (Gagarin, Alpha Centauri)

While there are a few more bars in Starfield, the above ones are the only ones where you can find named and unnamed crew members to persuade. Among these options, the best ones are The Viewport, Astral Lounge, and Broken Spear, as they have the most unnamed crew members, which are an infinite source of persuasion dialogues.
