It’s time to step in and play detective to uncover the mystery behind the missing slate.
Ready to take on the challenge? Here’s your guide to successfully navigating the Starfield Superfan side mission.
- Side Mission in Neon (Core)
- Planet: Volii Alpha
- Rewards: 100 EXP & Credits proportional to your character level
How to Start Superfan
Upon your arrival in the bustling Neon, nestled within the Volii System, and you make your way up and down Neon’s main strip, you’ll be prompted with the “Talk to BorealUS” activity. This serves as your gateway to the thrilling Superfan mission.
To start Superfan, head to the Trade Tower in Neon (Core), just behind the Administrator Bayu golden statue. The Trade Tower is at the end of Neon’s main strip, catercorner to Ryujin Industries. Once you reach the Trade Tower’s lobby, head up the stairs to Neon’s most famous bar, the Astral Lounge, where you can buy the infamous drug “Aurora.” Take the VIP elevator on your left past the Mission Board and Bounty Clearance Kiosk to reach the bar’s upper echelons and follow the objective marker to find BorealUS and kickstart this side mission.
BorealUS will point you toward Myka at Euphorika in Neon’s Ebbside who can point out the thief’s whereabouts.
Speak to Myka
Exit the Astral Lounge and head towards Ebbside. As you step out, you’ll notice the Euphorika bar directly ahead. Make your way into the bar and initiate a conversation with Myka. You’ll be required to part with 1,500 credits to obtain the information you need. However, if you possess the Neon Street Rat trait, you’ll have the advantage of acquiring this information at no cost.
Recover the Music Slate
Your next objective is locating Stratos at Madame Sauvage’s Place, on Ebbside’s opposite side, which you can reach by crossing Neon (Core).
Once you encounter Stratos, you have a few strategies at your disposal. You can persuade him, utilize your pickpocket skills, or offer a bribe using Aurora. Stratos is the superfan who stole BorealUS’ music slate, but he needs Aurora to get in the zone when listening to the DJ’s music.
Providing him with the drug will earn you the Music Slate if you can’t persuade him to return it for free. If you’re running low on Aurora, you have several options:
- You can purchase some from the Astral Lounge bartender, Boon Morgan.
- You can also purchase Aurora from Kyu at Euphorika’s VIP Members Lounge.
- Finally, you can craft it yourself at a Pharmaceutical Lab, such as the one in Neon’s Underbelly (accessible via elevator). Remember, crafting Aurora requires the Aurora recipe, a reward from the Supply Line side mission (a follow-up to Loose Ends and Fishy Business), and specific ingredients: two units of Hallucinogen, one unit of Chasmbass Oil, one unit of Benzene, and one Stimulant. Chambass oil is rare, but several shops in Neon, including Newill’s, stock it.
Return the Music Slate
After successfully retrieving the slate, make your way back to BorealUS. She’ll reward you with 100 EXP and Credits proportional to your character level as a token of gratitude for your efforts.
