How to Leave Your Party in Helldivers 2

Leaving your party is not as obvious as some of Helldivers would want to. After the end of a mission in Helldivers, all players return to the host’s ship to unlock new upgrades in the Ship Management tab (Stratagems or Ship Modules) or to purchase new gear and other items through the two Warbonds/Battle Passes in the game and finally embark on a new mission.

Once you leave your cryo pod, you can leave the party by pressing Start on the controller or ESC on the keyboard and selecting the option “Return to Ship Alone.” You must then press and hold X on your controller or left-click on your mouse to return to your ship.

Note: The option to return to your ship alone is always there as long as you are in a party. However, leaving your party and deserting your team during mission is not recommended, especially with so many server issues in the game.
