Jormuntide is the No. 101 Pal in the Paldeck and a Dragon- and Water-type dual-type Pal. Jormuntide is quite a unique Pal, as it can only appear as a Field Boss version, which yields an Alpha Pal. You cannot capture a normal Jormuntide in Palworld. Any Jormuntide you capture will come with the Lord of the Sea passive skill, which boosts water damage by 20%, making it one of the strongest Water-type Pals in the game.
Its work suitability is in Watering Lv 4, making it one of the best workers for watering your base’s plantations. Capturing or killing Jormuntide yields Pal Fluid, Field Boss drops, 1 Ancient Technology Point, and Ancient Civilization Parts.
I think Jormuntide is the best sea mount in Palworld, thanks to its Partner Skill, which prevents stamina depletion while moving over water.
Legend says that the Jormuntide was once a wise man, who after being wrongly convicted and cast into a whirlpool, returned as this Pal to destroye those who wronged him.
Jormuntide Field Boss Locations
The first Jormuntide (left in the picture) appears inside a lake southeast of Investigator’s Fork Great Eagle Statue.
The second Jormuntide (right in the picture) appears northeast of the Mossanda Forest Great Eagle Statue.
Both fights against Jormuntide occur inside the water unless you drag it to shore. I recommend using Orserk to bring down Jormuntide’s health fast. Alternatively, any strong Electric- or Ice-type Pal will be good against it so you can bring Mammorest Cryst, Mau Cryst, or Relaxaurus Lux.
I captured Jormuntide with a Giga Sphere, but that was pure luck, so ideally, you would want to use Hyper Spheres, or even better, Ultra Spheres.
