This is the 6th increase in Netflix’s streaming plans since 2014.

Netflix has announced an unfortunate announcement – for its subscribers – that it will be increasing its prices again. There will be a significant increase in the cost of all the streaming packages in the United States and Canada. Note that 2021 marked the death of Netflix free trials worldwide.

For the basic package, we’re looking at an increase of $1 per month and for the 4K Premium package, an increase of $2 per month. According to Reuters, a representative of the entertainment giant explained the increases by saying:

As people have more entertainment choices than ever before, we strive to provide an even better experience for our members. We are updating our prices so that we can continue to offer a variety of quality entertainment options. As always, we offer a range of packages so members can choose a price that works with their budget.
