Blue Protocol Release Date – When is it coming to the West?

Anastasios Antoniadis

Are you lying in wait for the Blue Protocol release date in the west? The upcoming MMORPG Blue Protocol will be published by Bandai Namco. The game is expected to launch in Japan by the end of this year, and we heard reports that it would be released in the west as well – no official confirmation yet, though. The company is focusing on the Japanese market, so we may have to wait a while before seeing a release date for the United States. Keep reading to learn more about Blue Protocol’s global release.

“The world is on the brink of devastation,
now is the time to unite.
March on with friends and strangers,
and defeat foes beyond your might.
Travel through space and time,
to change the  future beyond this fight!”

Blue Protocol takes place on the planet Regnus, a world filled with a mysterious light called Engram. Ancient civilizations such as the Bafarians, now just myths and stories, once inhabited proud cities that are now dilapidated ruins.

As of now, there are four classes available, and the developers are working on developing more. These are the four classes that are currently offered:

  • Aegis Fighter
  • Twin Striker
  • Blast Archer
  • Spellcaster

Blue Protocol Latest Trailers

Blue Protocol just released a new trailer showing dynamic weapons and magic use in fast-paced combat. In contrast to Genshin Impact, Blue Protocol allows players to play cooperatively, and it’s more like Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Xenoblade. Game GuidesYUai-M

Blue Protocol American release date

The launch date for Blue Protocol has yet to be set – not even for the Japanese version. It is expected to be released in late 2021, and several closed beta tests have already been conducted. Although they were all in Japanese, the betas weren’t region-locked, so anyone who knew the language could have participated. You should be prepared for more of them in the future – and there will certainly be more.

That means a western release will most likely not happen until at least 2022. Our only suspicion is based on a job posting from Bandai Namco looking for someone to spearhead Blue Protocol’s English localization. Obviously, this is a very strong suspicion

Since the trademark is registered in both North America and Europe, we are currently just awaiting official confirmation.

Blue Protocol game play

Is Blue Protocol on PS4, PS5, Xbox, iOS, Android?

Other information we have reveals the game is coming to PC, but consoles and mobile platforms are still being considered.

Bandai-Namco wants to try out PC first and then the reception it receives. After that, they definitely want to launch Blue Protocol across as many platforms as possible for maximum impact. So, we expect the game will eventually be available on mobile too.

Several classes are going to be available to players from what we’ve seen in the trailers, and mounts are definite possibilities. The characters rode giant fox-like creatures in the trailers. If anything, Genshin Impact taught us that a game of this type can succeed in all platforms globally.

In usual Bandai Namco fashion, they are trying to keep as much a secret as possible so that they can deliver a phenomenal game in due time.

Blue Protocol release date – Conclusion

Stay tuned as we will be updating this post with any new about the potential release date of Blue Protocol in the west.
